Adam MilliganDirector, Mobile TechnologyBioAdam has written software for the past decade and a half, for companies ranging from small, early-stage startups to AOL/Time Warner and Microsoft Research, in areas ranging from security and encryption to media encoding/decoding to web and mobile applications. Throughout his career Adam has focused on simple and coherent object oriented design and consistent modeling of problem domains, and he has become known for his zealous advocacy of thorough testing and attention to detail. He has contributed to widely used open source projects, such as Rails, with a particular focus on improvements to object oriented design and testing. Adam is the primary author of the open source Cedar project (http://github.com/pivotal/Cedar), a behavior-driven design testing framework in Objective-C, with extensions for manual and automated testing of iPhone applications. He joined Pivotal in 2007, has led a number of web and mobile projects, and is now the director of mobile projects for the company. Adam has a degree in computer science, with a minor in biochemistry, from Dartmouth College. |
