The Cloud Foundry organization at Pivotal is looking for top engineers to join the Platform Engineering team. Cloud Foundry is an open source Platform as a Service that is also offered in commercial form, both as a service in the cloud (Pivotal Web Services – PWS) and as an on prem offering (Pivotal CF – PCF). Platform Engineers work in strategic customer and partner technical engagements to extend the envelope of the product. They work on projects where PCF or PWS are leveraged in ways that are novel, where new patterns, integrations and technologies must be applied to provide a desired capability or outcome. Platform Engineers are strong software developers who use their deep technical skills and cutting edge technologies to broaden the reach of the PCF and PWS products.

Cloud Foundry is an open source project, backed by an industry foundation and a vibrant community, that is also offered as a licensed, commercially supported product.
Pivotal CF is the commercial Cloud Foundry product offered by Pivotal, and is at the core of the entire Pivotal product suite.
8+ years software development and client engagement experience
Experience with distributed systems and web architectures
A clear understanding of cloud service and deployment models
Experience with virtualized infrastructure and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) such as vSphere, OpenStack, Amazon Web Services, or Google Compute Engine
Experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS) such as Cloud Foundry, Heroku, Elastic Beanstalk or similar
Familiarity with IT Operations processes and technologies including Chef, Puppet, BOSH or similar
BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
